A nuclear weapon.

A vessel such as a ship or submarine running on nuclear power.

Example: If a nuclear war ever breaks out, military facilities are likely to be nuked first.

To destroy or erase completely.

Example: To try to hide his posting history on Usenet, he had his posts nuked from the Google archives.

(by extension) To carry out a denial-of-service attack against (an IRC user).

To expose to some form of radiation.

A nucleus colony; a small bee colony created from a larger colony.

The spinal cord.

The back of the neck, the nape; of an animal: the back of the head or the portion of the body behind the head.

A small corner formed by two walls; an alcove.

Example: There was a small broom for sweeping ash kept in the nook between the fireplace bricks and the wall.

A hidden or secluded spot; a secluded retreat.

Example: The back of the used book shop was one of her favorite nooks; she could read for hours and no one would bother her or pester her to buy.

A recess, cove or hollow.

An English unit of land area, originally 1/4 of a yardland but later 12 1/2 or 20 acres.
